Crosswind Labs

Software that holds its course –
even in a crosswind.

We build focused apps for people who make precise decisions under pressure: in the cockpit, in everyday life and in professional practice.

About

Small, independent, built from experience.

Crosswind Labs is an independent software studio based in northern Germany. Our ideas come from situations where existing tools fall short – drawn from first-hand experience in aviation and medicine. We turn them into lean applications that do one job really well.

Focus over feature creepEach app solves a clearly defined problem – nothing more.
Privacy by designAs little data as possible, no ads, no tracking.
Built by practitionersDeveloped by users, for users – and tested in real-world use.

Tavo

The calendar you run with sentences.

Tavo is a cross-platform calendar for Linux, macOS, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android. You simply type events and tasks as a sentence – in English or German. Your data stays local and syncs with your own server. No account, no subscription, no telemetry.

  • “Dentist next Tuesday 3pm” becomes an event – with a live preview
  • Sync with Nextcloud, iCloud and any CalDAV server
  • Tasks with subtasks, dragged into your day as time blocks
  • Public holidays per region, school holidays side by side
  • Command line and optional AI – preferably running locally

Cockpit One

Everything for the cockpit. In one app.

A companion for general aviation pilots, VFR and IFR: calculators, weight & balance, logbook, notes and manuals on your phone – fully offline, with no account and no server. Native apps for iOS and Android are in development.

  • 35 calculators from pressure altitude to cold-temperature correction
  • Weight & balance from type certificate and flight manual – “green” only when the source is verified
  • Logbook according to EASA FCL.050 with carry-over and CSV export
  • Kneeboard notes by keyboard, finger or stylus
  • POH, checklists and charts readable and searchable offline

Not for operational use. The aircraft flight manual and official sources are authoritative.
